Give

Why Give?

We believe that offering is a part of worship, offering Him ourselves, our time, our minds, our hearts, AND our possessions.

And because money can easily become something we place our security and trust in, giving reminds us that our ultimate trust belongs to God. Offering is not about how much we give, but about how much we trust God. In Mark 12:44, Jesus commends the widow’s offering, “For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, all she had to live on.”

Scripture also teaches that giving should come from a willing and joyful heart:

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7)

As you consider giving, we encourage you to spend time in prayer and ask God to guide your heart and reveal anything that may be competing for your devotion. Our prayer is that your giving would be a joyful act of worship that draws you closer to Him.
